Hi;

here are the seetings of the connection string.

<appSettings>

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=(local);Database=dotnetnuke;uid=xxx;pwd=xxxx;" />

<add key="MachineValidationKey" value="467A63C0F5DD6538243E56C96E562D7D00B9F28C" />

<add key="MachineDecryptionKey" value="B0027B49968F9A4DE9C0879AA24EBD049B4FD13F4D19B426" />

<add key="MachineValidationMode" value="SHA1" />

<add key="InstallTemplate" value="DotNetNuke.install.resources" />

<add key="AutoUpgrade" value="true" />

<add key="UseDnnConfig" value="true" />

<add key="InstallMemberRole" value="true" />

<!--optionally install the MemberRole scripts -->

<add key="ShowMissingKeys" value="false" />

<!-- Show missing translation keys (for development use) -->

<add key="EnableWebFarmSupport" value="false" />

<!--Set to true to enable web farm suppot. See Web Farm Support documentation for additional configuration steps.-->

<add key="EnableCachePersistence" value="false" />

<!--Some cached items can persist an app recycle by serializing the object to disk. Set to "true" to enable this performance enhancement.-->

<add key="InstallationDate" value="2/2/2006" />

</appSettings>

you dont have to change anything. make sure that you have put the db_owner previllages in the SQL Manager, and that you have put the right persmissions for ASP.NET.

Best regards
