I haven't done any upgrades recently and was able to log into my DNN site on WebHost4Life last week without any problems.

Today, however, I'm unable to log into my site.  The host account won't log in and neither will another admin account.  I tried using the "Forgot Password" link, but it indicates that there's a problem sending the password.

This has happened to me before on WH4L and I simply removed DNN and started over (since I didn't really have any "live" sites).

Can anyone offer any insight on how I might resolve this?  Also, what can I do to give myself a workaround to prevent this from happening in the future?  (PS.  I haven't encountered this on the instance that we're running at work...I'm a bit worried that I might encounter this in an actual production environment.)

Also, if this is a lengthy process that might be easier to troubleshoot/resolve in-person...I will be at OpenForce  and can wait to resolve this issue for my site on WH4L.

Assuming you have a backup of your source code, take a look to the web.config, and compare both (old and new version) of the MachineKey... Looke like for some reason, this value was changed....

If you put the original values, everything should back to normal.

Good luck!

Alfonso
