Hello!

I´m pretty new to the matter of ASP.NET. My web hotel is using ASP.NET v1.1.4322 right now and I wonder which version of DNN I should use. I'm using VS2005 for developing and would like to learn the features of ASP.NET 2.0, so I would like to use DNN 4.0.

But is that even possible. Can DNN 4.0 be used with ASP.NET v1.1.4322 even with less functionality?

the 3.x branch uses asp.net1.1, but can run under 2.0 as well, though it can't be recompiled under 2.0 (check the installation guide for details), but the 4.x branch only runs under 2.0 and can also be compiled in vs.net 2005. The latest versions of 3.x and 4.x are identical as we're keeping them in sync at present.

Ok, so I must use 3.x with my web hotel because they run ASP v1.1.4 and to be able to compile 3.x I must get VS2003 (I have VS2005 now). Irritating. [EMO]crying.gif[/EMO]

But thanks for the answer anyway.
