Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to the DNN world and just ran into my first issue. I want to place two modules next to each other in the contentpane, but i can't figure out how to do it. I have only the possibility to choose placing on "top" or "bottom". Let's say i want to have 3 modules on contentpane, the first on top over full width of the pane, and on bottom i.e. two news modules next to eath other. What possibilities do i have ? I would like to keep the contentpane as it is because i need it for all other pages, so don't like to split the contentpane. Also i look for "free" solution if possible. But at first let's keep it on the overall possibilities which i have for this issue.

Then i have a second question, how can i change the size of modules, i.e. the width of a module ? This is also kinda important with my first issue, if i was looking for placing two text/html modules next to each other. So set the module at half of it's origin width for example, but still keep the possibility to let it look normal on a different page.

I hope it's a little clear what i mean... :)

Thanks a lot!

visit snowcovered.com and look for a module called ZLDN Module Wrapper. This module allows you to place mutliple modules in one pane. I've only messed with it some. I think it works with IFRAMEs and Tables. I have consistently ran into problems when trying to use IFRAMES within the wrapper. But, as long as I haven't needed to use one of those, then it definitely can help with a solution. Hope that helps.

I just tried to do it before, and you should go to de desktop module and change its size, but maybe it's not the best way to do.

The best way i thing you can do it is by doing a couple of ContentPanes called as you want, but in place of one, make two contents.  Divide de windows as you want, you can out a colum between contents for spacing.

And finaly put the information or modules at the content you want, the module size should adjust to your content.

While it's not a free solution, the Module Wrapper (available from www.snowcovered.com) lets you create tables that you can embed individual modules.

This will allow you to place modules side-by-side without having to modify the skin.ascx files.

If I add more panes, this will take action on every page right ? If so then it's not the best option because i need the standard contentpane as it is on nearly all pages, except of 1 or 2. That's my problem i guess.

I will see, if i don't find a solution i will have to buy that module wrapper. But i really hope i don't have to
