Is there a way to setup pages to redirect someone to a login page if they are not already authenticated?

I have currently made those pages visible to all users, added the "account login" module and made all modules except the "account login" for registered users only.

this result looks pretty unprofessional though.  I would rather have the tabs visible, but the pages invisible, with all modules inheriting the page's visibility.  There should then be a redirect to the login page similar to when you click the login button above.

Maybe all tabs that are "inactive" but "visible"  would point to the same URL as the Login button until authenticated.

In the core there is nothing that works like this (unless someone added it and didn't tell me, which I doubt). What you can do is create the pages, allow the modules the typical behavior and then create links in the home page via links mod or text/html module to those pages that are set for reg users only. When users try to go to these pages, they will be redirected to login (from which they can also register). If they login, they will be directed to the proper place. I am guessing this isn't exactly what you wanted, but I think the only other option would be to write your own menu provider or skin object.

I found a good work around.  It is a bit convoluted, but it works exactly like I want.

If I set the page as visible to all users, then add a login module.  I make all content on the page for registered users only, then set the login module for "unauthorized users".  When not authenticated the only content visible is the login control.  WHen logged in everything appears and the login control disapears.  Things look a bit hacked for the Admin that sees all but for the registered user it is perfect.  Thanks for your help.

PS  I loaded up 4.6.2 upgraded from 4.5.0.  What a difference.  The 4.6.2 code feels so much faster and there are so many little goodies I keep finding.  EasyCGI needs to get their automated install up to the 4.6.2 bits.
