Hello,

I have a problem with the 4.5.5 on permissions.

If I apply Edit module for All Users on a module, Edit Mode or View Mode appears in the page.

But if the anonymous user choose Edit Mode, there is a postback and it goes back to view mode so the user can't edit the module.

I tried on a new installation of 4.6 and have the same problem. This worked well on my old 4.3.3 version but not in the newer.

I tried to modify the toolbar(only appear if there is permissions on the page but the user can't edit even if it is checked Edit Mode by default in the admin settings)

Did I missed something?

you can set module caching to 0 in module settings, this will remove the control center at the top. Another option is to modify the Usability settings in Site Settings.

Hello,

I tried to set the module caching to 0 but nothing change.

I try this on a new portal and get the same problem:

- install DotNetNuke 4.6.2

-Create a Page with Read permission for all user.

-Add a module on this page(ex:Text/Html) and give Write permission for All User

-If I come on the page as anonymous, I see the Edit/view option (normal)

-If I check edit, it goes back to view

Is someone got the same problem doing the same thing?

set module caching ti -1 to hide the view/edit to module editors. Be aware, that granting Edit permission on the Text/HTML module allows all editors to place (malicious) script code, therefore limit this permisssion to trusted user groups only. Unauthenticated users shall get write permission for secure modules like Forums, Feedback, UDT only.

Hi,

ok for -1 for the cache, I will test it quickly.

For text/html it was only a test, the problem is for the module event for me (anonymous user can purpose event which are moderated)  but like I can reproduce with text/html it's easier to debug.

Thanks for your help, I will make a feedback as soon as I test it.
