Hello,

I am using DotNetNuke 4.5.5 without any language package. When I create a page with an umlaut like Fächer and add the page to the menu the link created for this page contains umlauts like http://.../Verwaltung/Fächer/tabid/101/Default.aspx. This results in a HTTP 404 page not found as the umlaut shoud be encoded like http://.../Verwaltung/F%E4cher/tabid/101/Default.aspx. Is there someone how know how to configure DNN to handle pages with umlauts in a correct manner?

Many thanks

Wolfgang

This is a known issue, you can alter web.config not to include page names in URL paths, this circumvents the problem temporarily.

I hope, we get this fixed for DNN 4.7.0.

Sebastian,

Could you please be specific as to what portion of the web.config we can alter to get this fixed. I'm getting the error when i try to submit my sitemap to google or any of the search engines.

Thanks,

Carlos
