I am looking to have some design work done for a client. They want to have a menu system like the one found on this page.

http://www.tri-countyemc.com/index.da

Notice the varied colors of the main menu. Also, notice the dropdown has a watermark image in the background.

Can this be done with CSS or some other approach? On first look, I would think that it could not be done with SolPart.

Thanks for any ideas on this and if anyone is wanting to take on this project, please let me know where I might contact you.

Thanks so much!

I know the different colors per item is possible with the Telerik RadMenu SkinObject.

I think the watermark is just setting the background to eg 50% transparent.

Here is some more info : http://www.domedia.org/oveklykken/css-transparency.php

It looks like everyone is too busy to take on a challenging project like this.

Never heard back from Nina after contacting her through her site.

Dao says his CISS.SideMenu will work with this, but he is also too busy right now to do it.

Telerik says it is possible and that they will create a demo. But after a couple of weeks, they have not responded.

So, this is my last call to see if any developers would be interested in helping to create a menu system in CSS either from scratch or using an existing toolkit to emulate this menu.

Let me know so I can get back with my client.

Cliff - I searched the 57,000 email I have for my forums in my gmail inbox just now... and found nothing

I then went to my other new gmail account where I pop dotnetnuke, nina and found nothing  - I started using gmail earlier this month to pop my mail to stop some of the spam I'm getting.

I then realised that I hadn't setup the info email address and so went to my webmail box where the gmail pops from and I apologise - I saw an email you sent, and some other emails sent to info, which is linked on the front page of my site, and I've not correctly set it up in Gmail.. *sigh*.  I should have checked it more thoroughly but have been over run with spam and was trying to find a solution (which by the way gmail has been fanastic) but if you have several email addresses pointing to the one name it won't work, you need individual ones, and I forgot about the main one on my website.

But I remember looking at that site with the menu on that forum and thinking that it might be a bit of a job and wasn't sure that the snapsis menu would work with it.

I will look at your email dated 5th october - I try my best to reply to people, but in this instance, I simply overlooked redirecting an important email.

Sorry about this.
