DNN 4.6.2

 

  When I try and compile in Visual Studio 2005, I am getting the following error...

 

Type 'DotNetNuke.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationController' is not defined.

 

This happens within Signin.ascx.vb

 

I read something about Signin being replaced with Login.  Should I exclude Signin or something?  If someone could throw me a clue on this one I'd appreciate it.

Hi

I got the same thing but also for authentificationSettings and windowsSignin I exclude them from the project and now it compiles again. The website also works (as far I could test it). I suppose as long as you do not need one of these module everything will keep working.  I hope it will be fixed in a next realese of someone can tell us what we have to do. I tried to at some namespace but that did not helped because the compiler did also not recoginezed some methods.

I did an upgrade from 4.5.3 to 4.6.2

I've similar error with 4.8! If I execute my site from explorer all work ok, but if I open in visual studio I'm no able to compile! How I can fix this?
