Hi anybody,

Is there a possibility to disable the "Login" Link i already disabled the "Register" but cant find how to disable the "Login",

i'm working for a company and we wanna login seperate via the url string so that nobody can see the "login" is there a possibility or do i have to change it on the template if yes where do i have to?

The login link is a skin object. So one way you can do it is to create a separate skin -- identical in all except that one has the [LOGIN] skin object, and the other one doesn't. Then apply the skin without the [LOGIN] object to all pages except to one that you access directly via the URL, and that has the login link on it.

The problem with removing the login link altogether though is that you might end up locking yourself out. It might happen that on DNN updates, the tab IDs don't stay the same as they are now (in DNN 3.x the default Login page had a different TabID and thus a different URL than in 4.x), so your URL might not work any more after an update. That's why I'd keep a skin that has the login link there.

As far as I can see you have 2 options

You can change the user registration settings (I would test this on a dummy portal first to see if it meets your requirements) have a read of http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Documentation/DotNetNukeOnlineHelp/tabid/787/TID/884/cid/67/Default.aspx for more information about the user registration options.

Option 2:

You could remove the login in token from your skin but again i would test this out before making changes to your main site first. Have a read of the skinning documentation on dotnetnuke.com to find what token you have to remove.

Hope that helps a bit
