I've been working with Joomla and found that it already has built in functionality to create and serve new content - not just as new pages but as content that can be added any number of places and linked as new content. The functionality for managing content is very intuitive, easy to use, and does what it needs to. With dotnetnuke, so far I haven't seen the same functionality. I'm SURE there is a module out there I'm missing. Dotnetnuke is MUCH easier to skin, and has some advantages, and I'd like to use it. Can anyone help?

I'm not just looking to serve newsflashes, but news pages that will stay on the server indefinitely, and searchable in the way that database content would be.

My guess is that you are looking for one of the DNN CRM modules.  I am not familar with any of them myself, but I have heard of many individuals that have been VERY happy with them!
