Hi, i've tryed to create a Parent portal, but it makes me an error and do not load the portal i've create.

When i create a child one, doesn't matters, it works just fine, but i guess it's because it makes all of the Main portal set properties so, can anybody help me how to made a parent subportal?.

Thanks for your help

in order to create a parent portal you have to do the DNS setup and IIS setup prior to creating the parent portal. If you are hosted with an ISP this has to be done via their control panel.

Ok, i'm working at the local machine, and i've created the new portal Virtual Directory at the IIS.  I have some questions:

1.  Can i select an external Folder directory at the IIS? (not the one where the main DNN portal is located).

2.  Need i to create a new DB?

3.  If i don't need to create another new DN for the next DNN parent site, how can i copy the DNN parent site DB settings for mounting on another server?

Please, lots of people says that the only i need is to create the IIS Virtual Directory, but it makes me an error, i think it's because the folder i've selected for the parent new site, is out the dnn firts configuration portal, and this folder don't have any configuration files.

Can anybody help me with this?, but step by step please, i think maybe because you know you're not considering some details and i really need it.  Thanks one more time

The disk directory for all parent portals pointes to the DNN root directory and shares the same database.

Not sure what you are asking in #3. To move the DB to another machine, just backit it up on one system and restore on another. If you are asking can I seperate the parent portal from the main portal and move them to different systems -- good luck. You could clone the files and DB to a second machone and make the parent them main portal I guess.
