I would agree.  I'm interested in using the Blog module as an advanced news/announcements capability.  It has all the right things that I cannot find in any announcement module even on snowcovered:  Summary - Detail, Categories and the month archive.  Of course the only problem is this Blog module is desinged to be personal blogs only.  Adding flexible role capabilities can make it a site or topic based Blog which is a nice option.

Not sure if I can use this Blog as is until I can have multiple people post to Blogs.  Does anyone have an idea if this is on the roadmap and when.  I've also noticed that the past couple of days the "Project Page" is gone off the DNN site.

Can anyone please tell me if this feature has been added or not? I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks.

You can check Blog Machine dnn blog module. Since it's user permissions are closely tied with dnn roles, you can easily get multiple authors for a single blog within blogging community

Looking for dotnetnuke module development or dotnetnuke skinning services provider? Check our dnn modules and dotnetnuke skins to see where you can start.

I'm in need of this feature too! In my case, I set up my main Blog as "news" and want to set up Child blogs and give each child blog (a different section basically) to a few users who can post. I'm setting up a site for internal company news and want a few people to be able to post their departments news. I've looked into Announcement module and it doesn't really work for me as I need the features that the Blog module has. Am I right in assuming Blog module is what I need or is there a better module I can use? If only blog module has this feature, I would be set. help me too! -jayson

Maybe the Ultimate DNN Blog Module - SunBlogNuke also is your alternative choice. That is a Wordpress-Like module for writing the blog post in the DNN platform. Yesh, the multi-author capability  for a single blog is supported in the beginning. The multi blog instances for different pages is implementeded, too. Hope it makes sense.

Bumping this old thread up, as I have a requirement like this myself.

Any way to have multiple users assigned to a role be allowed to add posts to a single blog?
