Hi,

My portal is not sending out verification codes nor is it sending out the newsletter to registered users when I try.  I'm not sure how to go at this problem so let me know what information you will need.

Also,

The path to my portal is   domainhere.com/dotnetnuke/default.aspx

How do I make the portal just   www.domainhere.com?

Thanks,

Josh

Is your portal sending out any emails? Have you configured and tested the SMTP settings under Host > Host Settings - Advanced Settings - SMPT Server Settings?

also make sure, admin and host account have been valid email accounts assigned, that are recognized by the smtp server.

regarding site address - which OS / IIS version are you using, which options do you have (control of web server)???

it turns out my isp didn't support me using the smtp so I added a gmail account and fixed that.

I am uploading my site to a webhost via FTP and I'm not sure which OS or IIS version they are using.  What information should I ask them for or changes to be made?

For this part, install DNN to the root instead of the DotNetNuke folder.  Or in IIS, point the web site home directory to where DNN is installed instead of the folder above it.
