I would like to create a simple enough attendance list to track students on a module but I've not sure what module would be best to use. Ideally it would be a core module.

What I would like seems to be a combination of the User defined table and the repository but I would be interested in hearing from other DNN users to see if they had other suggestions.

The layout would be like below but X would be a custom list of options (Present, Absent, Late,Sick)

   Week1 Week2   Week3
 Student1   X
 Student2

Does anyone have suggestions

michael,

with some tricks, you might be able to use UDT, but it will not automatically update to next week. Besides I am not aware of a module, that supports your use case.

Hi Leupold,

I'm not sure I follow. Its not that important that the weeks update. I don't mind if I have to create all the columns at the start or even if tutors can edit the attendance for past weeks. My problem with the UDT was I wasn't able to create the necessary columns and rows

i.e

Column 1 would be the list of student names

Column 2 would be week # with a custom selection list of student states not the same student list again

you can create a first column with student names and a number of columns for weeks with appropriate state selection values each.
