Has anyone looked a the Feed Explorer? iwonder posted a very interesting thread here (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/48/threadid/168802/scope/posts/Default.aspx) about using it and I took his example OPML and added an internal feed to it and it worked great (http://dev.gmss.org/BugTesting/RSSFeeds/tabid/77/Default.aspx (just cancel when it asks for credentials, it's a side effect of using the AD Provider over the internet)).

I'm still going to look at the Newsfeed but Peter is working on a much improved version that already have solved the problem with DNN's versions. I'm not sure how to work around other versions as there doesn't seem to be a standard with it comes to building RSS urls.
