Could someone please point me to the RESX file in Languages where the main Login text for 'User Name:' resides?

I cannot find it. When I think I find it, and change a value, the text does not change on the Authentication/Login screen.

An upgrade from 4.5.5 to 4.6.2 overwrote my language customization.

Here's what the browser souce points to:

<span id="dnn_ctr_Login_Login_DNN_plUsername_lblLabel">User Name:</span>

All indications point to: \admin\Security\App_LocalResources\Signin.ascx.resx

Key: plUsername.Text, but when I change that, the Restart Host, close browser, even reboot server: still: User Name: persists.

If a problem can be solved, there's no use worrying about it.
If it can't be solved, worrying will do no good.

\App_GlobalResources\SharedResources.resx

Key: Username.Text

This is a new Key since 4.5.5, and a new RESX place from which User Name: is being pulled.

DotNetNuke needs a Language Editor Search feature. If you do any language customizing, it's frustrating looking for text by clicking in/out of Language Editor folders AND files. If you have access to your server, you can do a text search there, if you have a good text search tool. But then you might just as well edit RESX files directly at the file system rather than through Language Editor.

I posted this enhancement suggestion recently at support.dotnetnuke.com; hopefully Language Editor Search is coming soon.

Changes have been necessary due to refactoring, when extracting the login into authentication providers, other keys have been moved \DesktopModules\AuthenticationServices\DNN\App_LocalResources.

language changes don't get overwritten, if you use language in admin menu or language in host menu and select host mode in language editor. However, if keys are moved, you need to add the texts for the new key locations again.

I agree - and so does the new localization team - but this requires development resources or getting this feature donated by a community member.
