Hello,

I ' ve checked the "use categories list" checkbox in documents module and also i have created a new list by using the lists item in the host menu with parent list "None specified" but when I add a document in my module the only category that i can see is the "None specified"

Does anyone know how to be able to view and select categories other than "None specified" in documents module?

Thanks

I have the same question as above. Is there a tutorial of the document module?

Thanks for your answers.
Jan.

I believe that the current version of the module requires that it be named something specific.

I hope Anthony can come around and answer this one as I haven't used the categories listing on the old module and I am currently using the new one (in beta) on my website.

The list must be called "Document Categories".  As Mitchel mentioned, in the next version we have added the ability to specify which list to use on a per-module basis - so different instances of the documents module can use different lists.

As for the tutorial, this information is contained in the module help - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Documentation/DotNetNukeOnlineHelp/tabid/787/Default.aspx (specifically, in the "User Categories list" section of the help for the documents module).
