My apologies, but I could not find a thread about this.

I am fairly new to DNN.  Question is:

I want to run a simple asp.net auction application (Xcent Quick Auction) within a DNN portal.  Can I do this?

I ran an auction for a non-profit school using this asp.net application hosted on a go-daddy server.  I used the go-daddy FTP client to upload the 3 folders full of the code, uploaded the MDB file, etc.  Worked great.  I was then introduced to DNN.  WOW!!!  I have now created a great site "about" the auction, school info, etc., but how do I get the asp.net auction application into my portal?  Do I use an FTP client to create a new non-DNN directory to put this in and just "link" to it from DNN, or can I somehow run the application from within DNN in a module or something?

Sorry, I know I don't know enough to even formulate intelligent questions yet.

Thanks,

Bill

Yes, you could either "link" to it as you describe above, run it in an iFrame, or, more elegantly, turn it into a module ... but that requires asp.net and DNN module development know-how.

I would recommend using an IFrame, that way you can incorporate it into your DNN site look and feel.

When placing the files on the server, be careful to ensure that no issues are experienced with it and DNN running beside each other.
