Is there an easy way to remove or hide the vote counts in the survey results view?   I want to show the percentages, just hide the count.   If I can edit existing files to do this, that is fine, even though it affects all uses of the survey (for now). 

I haven't yet tried to build a module and recompile, so I am looking for a short cut for now.    If the only way is to modify the module code, I guess it would be time to learn.  

Any help is appreciated.

You will have to edit the code. This should not be too hard. You may only need to set a label to not be visable. Here is a tutorial that should help:
