Hi Jship,

The error description is indicating that the file, web.config, could not be loaded due to an "access denied" error. Check your permissions for the directory and/or file.

You will likely need to grant read/write/execute permissions on the directory for the ASPNET, IUSR_xxx, or IIS process account, depending on your IIS version and configuration.

Hope this helps!

As mentioned above this is a permissions issue.

I would ensure that you have granted the ASPNET (NETWORK SERVICE in Win 2K3 and Vista) account full permissions to your DNN directory.  There shouldn't be any reason to modify the permissions for the IUSR account.

Hi everyone,

I get the same error as Jack Shipley (first post in this thread), and have already checked that all permissions are assigned correctly. I have also added the ASPNET and NETWORK SERVICE users with full control, even though I have other versions of DNN working fine without them in the same machine.

I am working with WinXP Pro SP2.

Any ideas? Thank you very much.

Saludos,
Alejandro.

What version of DNN are you attempting to install currently?
