I won't be one bit apoligetic about "pilling on" regarding WebHost4Life.  I have had multiple sites hosted with them for many years.  Until this spring, I have been satisfied.  I have had several issues related to creating new sites and trying to get their system to attach the new domain names with the database, however they were always prompt in addressing tickets, and it was more of just an inconvience.

Beginning early this year, I have had multiple issues with databases going down, connection strings getting somehow altered, slow loading, sites unavailable, etc, etc, etc.  The first major issues were when they tried to migrate my account to their *new* server...everything crashed and took 2 days before they rolled my account back tot he old server.  A month or so later...same thing..took 3-4 days to get everything back up on the old server...month or so later...again down for 2-3 days before all accounts rolled back to old server.

At this point I had several discussions with WH4L staff...finally one admitted they have been having major migration issues.  I told her that under no circumstances were they to migrate my accoutn again until they had their issues worked out.  I also told her that if they did and the sites crashed again, I would pull all of my accounts and go to another service.  Guess what happened Sunday night...yep 5 days later sites are still periodically up and down, and as I tupe I've been on hold with 3 different Tier 2 techs and now on the phone with a supervisor trying to get these accounts up again.  To make matters worse, the clients are all emergency services organizations.  I wish I would have checked the forums earlier when WebHost4Life started causing my headaches.

To make matters worse, they idiots send me an email for every website asking that I update the MS SQL connection strings...guess which feature the you can't access with the new control panel...yep...you guessed it...you can't update  or edit your database connection information.

Time to start backing up everything and keeping my fingers crossed that I can get everything migrated over to a new provider as soon as possible.

Hi,

I'am with "SeekDotNet.com" for a few years now.
They have a good control panel.
Support is almost all the time within 1 hour.

Regards, Ton Hermes

I joined just to let people know DONT and I MEAN DONT trust your hosting of your DotNetNuke site with webhost4life.com any more.
I got recommended to webhost4life.com and to websecurestores.com from smculloch at http://www.ventrian.com I trusted him with my sites since he is a core team member since DotNetNuke beginning I figured he would choose a good DotNetNuke host for his site.
I joined webhost4life.com in 2005 and websecurestores.com in 2006. I have had not many problems at all with either host until this year at webhost4life.com. I also became a victim of the webhost4life.com disaster. They have broke 43 of my 45 websites they host, the only two not broken dont use DNN. I am currently migrating all of them into my reseller account with websecurestores.com. I have only one complaint for websecurestores.com they is not have as good a control panel please get a new panel Helm is ok I prefer a new one like plesk or dotnetpanel.

Piling on here:

WH4L blows now that they've changed platforms.  Never had *much* of a problem before the transfer.  Since then my site has gone down 3 times in the last month....usually for well over a day (sometimes 2).  Takes techs usually 12-18 hours to even look at my ticket.

Good riddance WH4L.
