I want to use the standard Blue fixed width skin with a flash SWF file as the logo

When I choose it I get a icon with a cross in it like it can't be found.

It works when I use a jpg or gif so what am I missing

I got that wrong , must have corrupted the flash file somehow.

 

What is happening is I see some of the text but not the movie

 

I guess it has to do with embed  src tags

 

Anyone have a clue with this

The logo function is expecting an image file, not a flash file.  It's not too bright... woudln't know how to populate the myriad potential settings for any given flash file.

You can simply embed the SWF in the skin in place of where the logo would be. Or replace the logo token with a pane and add the SWF file in a media module ( or even an HTML/Text module ).

hello,
 maybe you can make a Pane under head and use a flash viewer module in the pane, there is a flash module here :

If you used the Text/HTML module, by switching to the HTML tab in the text editor, and entering some HTML like the following (replacing your values of course), you could do it:

<embed pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="/Portals/106/Flash/10thAnniversary.swf" width="100%" height="200" hidden="false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" quality="high"></embed>

Note the wmode="transparent" setting.  We have found we needed that setting so that the solpartmenu doesn't show up behind the flash image in firefox.
