I'm trying to use the User Defined Table and when i select HTMLText and then choose the option for a standard textbox, the textarea is 75 columns wide.  I went into DesktopModules/UserDefinedTable/DataTypes and edited the TextHTML.vb datatype file and set the columns to 40 wide.  This has NO effect on my page.  For that matter, any changes i make to the vb code behind files have no impact.  My guess is that i'm using compiled dll's and that's why the vb files do nothing for me.

Any idea how to fix this so i can edit the width of the columns on textareas?

UDT3.4.0 is still a DNN3.x module bases on ASP.net 1.1. While it runs perfect in DNN3 and in DNN4, you will need DNN3 and VS2003 to change and compile a new version.

Ouch... i've got vs2005 and vs web dev 2005.  I guess neither will help me.  Do you know if there are plans to upgrade this module where re-compiling won't be necessary?

Thanks for your input!!!!!

UDT development on 3.x base is discontinued. We already upgraded the module to DNN4 module, and yes, UDT will support dynamic compiling (WSP).
Saing said I need to disapoint you as a public release is far away.

Hi there,

You can do it by changing the style sheet. I made changes to default.css with following.
.UDT_Form textarea
{
width:400px;

}
cheers
