I did follow your excellent upgrade guide but still hit the problem. The folders are all open to write, I'm told by the sysadmin. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem.

Only 1 row in the Authentication table, and i cannot install the LiveID from the upgrade package as DNN fails to install it.

Anyone, suggestions? I need to get these LiveID modules installed but DNN always throws an exception when i perform a DNN upgrade.

I managed to have fixed this. As it seems there was a permission issue which windows did not detect, i reset the persissions and rebuilt them and everything was A OK! :)

do you mean you had to reset the permissions on the folder (windows folder) so the zip files could be accessed?

I had a hell of a time going from 4.5.5 to 4.6.2 and ended up just giving up...But you problems sound like the basic ones that I was having...and your solutions might work for me to...

Could you explain your last statement a little further?

Thanks!

I am having the same problem.  I disabled the LiveID and OpenID in the database but I can't get past this error!
