Hi All...Can anyone tell me if there is a way to make the Select Parent function easier when creating a new page?

If the site is large, there may be many hundreds of pages available to select a parent from. Therefore, there will be a tremendous amount of searching necessary before the correct parent page may be found.

What I would like is that the pages cab be categorized and that only the page Categories are displayed in the Select Parent interface by default. That way, the user can just look for the correct category, then expand it to view the contents, before selecting a page to be the parent.

Does this make sense to anyone??

Basically, all I want is an explorer style view of the pages in the site!

Any ideas???

Cheers...

Come on guys. Not a single response! Is that because the question makes no sense, or no one knows how to do it??

It would be cool if it would default to at least the current page (ore perhaps one level higher). I agree with the poster though, I have a portal with almost 1200 pages and managing that is a real grind.

You can try third party module from http://components.init.si/. With small custom configuration you can link database data to original pages so you can search them more easily.

Kind regards,

Primoz
