hi,

Im new to DNN. My question is a bit noob but i cant figure out what i missing. i want to create a forum where visitors not registered can post questions, comments and all. So, i've added a module forum in my page, then going in the module settings section and checked the "view" permissions to, all users, registered, unauthenticated etc..  all roles listed there.

then i gone in the forum config section and choose the general forum and click "edit" icon. i verified that my forum is normal type and public with no moderation.

but in the list of security groups, i just saw, Administrators, Registered and suscribers. i didnt see all users or unauthenticated users so i cant give them the start or post permissions.

I surely miss something somewhere, this forum is surely usable by unregistered users.

Only registered users can post in the forum.

What you might want to try instead of the forum is the Feedback module, or one of the third-party guestbook modules. They allow posting also to unregistered users.

You've got it, Doomz:

Your users will have to register.

So called "anonymous" posting is not supported by this forum version (see the pinned thread at the top of this forum).
Other forum software does allow anonymous posting, so if this is something you have to have- try Presstopia or ActiveForums.

I can't say that I'd recommend using the Feedback module if you are expecting much in the way of conversation amongst your users.
