We currently have a DNN 2.1 site with both custom in-house modules as well as a fair amount (50+ pages plus 100+ documents) of static content (enabled using the base features of DNN).  We are at a point where we need to add a major chunk (300+ pages) of additional (but independent) static content.  While doing so is not a big deal, we are positioning ourselves to upgrade to 4.x. The dilemma we face is really trying to answer the following questions:

1. Is there a reasonable "HowTo" describing upgrading from 2.x to 4.x?

2. What are the "Gotchas" in upgrading from 2.x to 4.x (other than the obvious ASP .NET change).

3. Should we add our new 300+ pages of static content to the 2.x portal?  Or, create a new, clean 4.x portal and put the new content there and merge the 2.x stuff in later?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
