Hello,

I am about to integrate a new DotNetNuke 4.6.2 installation with an existing .net 2.0 application. The main purpose is for content and page management, page creation and modification by users.

Now I am looking at the installation guide and can see that there are a few flavors of the installation; Install, Source and StarterKit. I have played around with DNN a little previously, but have not gone as far as extending and integrating it with other custom applications.

From previous experience much of the framework will be surplus to my needs - I am at present most interested in the content/page generation capabilities. I will use this functionality and reskin these pages appropriately.

My question is what will be the most appropriate installation and why? Im assuming the source installation is what I will be after as I will be communicating with a custom application with its own database, or should I be also looking at an API?

your advice is greatly appreciated.

thank you
