There used to be a module for DNN2.1.2 that allowed images to be used instead of text. However, the developer never upgraded it to 3.x. We had used it for a customer and helped to upgrade it to 3.x. However, it was not an easy task what we did does not work for 4.x. Other than that I have not seen anything else out there.

Hi

Check out my skinobject, it allows you to use images to use for one level menus. You can use multiple versions on a page.

http://www.schwingnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=93

On that page i have 2 differnet ones one for horizontal display of first level and vertical display of second level

My free menu module will allow you to customize a menu however you want, by binding it to a separate xml file.

Here is an example of the module with imags for its root items.

Note:  If you need to bind it to the DNN tab collection and want it to use images instead of text you simply need to create a new menu provider for the module.  You can get all the source necessary from my site.
