I'm trying to make a new connection for the first time in IIS, and after I search for my computer I get an error saying 'This computer is not running Internet Information Services version 4 or higher.'  even though I have IIS 6.0 installed. I'm a novice here, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You will want to ensure that you don't have Windows Firewall turned on and blocking incoming HTTP Requests.

After I allowed HTTP in the exceptions on the firewall for my LAN I still got the same error message as before.
