Hi everyone. I have a dnn 4.6 portal on our dmz that is currently being served up at the ip address/ folder name (ex. 192.168.xxx.xxx/MyFolder). We will be pointing our domain at the portal tomorrow.  As a test I tried created a new web site in IIS with a host header value "corpsite.ourdomain.com" and pointed it at the installation. The portal works but all of the images and links are broken. When I look at the html (that was generated mostly throught the html editor) the image url's are like "/MyFolder/Portals/0/home_company.jpg" and the links are like "/MyFolder/LinkClick.aspx?link=89&tabid=36."

I can fix this by replacing all of "/MyFolder" with http://www.MyDomain but certainly there is a better way. I'll have more than one domain pointing to the same portal so this isn't really a solution for me. Is there a way I can use a relative path or something?

Please Help!

/Portals/0/xxxx should do the trick.

If you set up DNN in a virtual directory initially then when it created content it adjusted the URLs to cater for this.

My guess is that when you set up the new IIS site you pointed the root of this site to to the 'MyFolder' location thus removing the virtual folder relative location.

A quick interim fix would be to adjust the root of the new IIS site to another folder and create a page with a meta refresh or some forwarding mechanism that directs the visitor to the virtual directory DNn is in.

Longer term fix is do the find and replace.  www.dnncreative.com has a series of screencasts on this based on some SQL code from the www.bi4ce.com forums you might find it helpful.  Remember once you have done this you will have to change how you access the site from winthin the lan
