What do the SMTP logs show?  My guess is the store module doesn't use the same email code as DNN, and it is configured correctly.

Take a look at the message.  You're not providing authentication, or at least not providing proper authentication.

Hi Jeff,

I have read the message.
There is no (proper) authentication.
I was just wondering why the module store is able to send messages without having any trouble with authentication.
I will wait till my web host figure this out.

Hi,

This problem is solved.
I upgraded to version 4.7
Switch the authentication method in HOST settings from NLTM to BASIC
After that all mail went fine.
Tested this with a "registration verified testperson" with an external e-mail.
All mail were send to the external email address.
