I have enabled AD Authentication.  In IE, we added our sites to the trusted sites list, then under trusted sites/custom level we have to set User Authentication to Auto logon with current username and pw (most of our staff currently have this set to Auto Logon for intranet only and then AD auth does not work).

We tried sending this IE preferenced out through Group Policy, but this ended up causing a lot of other problems that we cannot live with.  SO, we would like to know where in the registry the User Auth is set so we can push it out through an exe that will alter their registry.  We found where the trusted sites list is and are able to set user's trusted sites.

Does anyone know how to/where the custom level/User authentication setting for trusted sites is in the registry and what value it would need for Auto Logon for current username and pw?  Is it different for IE6 vs IE7 and for XP vs Vista?

Thank you for your help!
