Version: 4.7

Control Panel: Dot Net Panel

I can confirm there's some type of error on the install of DNN. I deleted the database, then the website, then the domain from DNP and then recreated them one by one. Then I installed DNN from the applications installer menu in DNP which was successuful. I chose the custom installation option. The file/folder permissions and database test were both successful. Then at the database installation I got to the same spot as last time and it says:

Run Database Installation Scripts

The installation of the database scripts should have started when this page loaded. The Next button will be disabled until the Installation of the Scripts is complete.

Completed Installing Database Scripts

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...undefined...Success
Installation of Database Complete

Then I hit the Next button and it just does this again. Is there a reason why it doesn't install the 4.7 database on a clean install? If someone could help me I'd appreciate it. I've tried installing as db owner and not, but get the same error...

The page link for the next button is:

BLOCKED SCRIPT__doPostBack('wizInstall$StepNavigationTemplateContainerID$StepNextButton','')

I am not familiar with the administration system you are using, but I would contact the hosting provider for assistance.  if you are using an installation version that is available for "Automatic" install via their control panel it is quite possible that they have configured portions of the DNN installation process that might be causing you errors.

BfA - I had the same issue, and posts here mentioned something about the database permissions just not being right.  This is problably because (since I've been creating logins in MSSQL for years) I created the login the way I always have, which worked for other apps but evidently not DNN.

Then I found this little gem:  http://seablick.com/blog/tabid/53/articletype/articleview/articleid/71/a-newbies-guide-to-installing-dotnetnuke.aspx, followed it to a "T", and I was good to go.

HTH.

Thanks for the link Mike, I'll look into it next week when I'm back from traveling. Hopefully it'll get me going!

BTW, I'm running the box and have full admin access, but I do want to set this up so future hosters don't have any problems.
