trying to install DNN on my shared hosting server.

i downloaded the install package, uploaded to my hosting server, updated the web.config file according to install doc, and when i try to open the website for final configuration, i get following error :

Access to the path 'f:\Domains\rdamiba.net\wwwroot\dnn\\DotNetNuke.config' is denied

Need help tp finalize  !!

please contact your hosting provider and make sure they set the access rights correctly (the application pool identity needs modify rights in the application root and below)

is it your typing, or is there really a double slash in the path?

I had the same problem when installing the portal...

 

You need to copy the 'DotNetNuke.config' to the root of your website. I also copied 'SiteUrls.config' but I don't think it is necessary...

Right now I'm waiting for my host to give the account NT AUTHORITYNETWORK SERVICE Read, Write, and Change Control access to the virtual root of the website, because I keep getting this message:

Could not find a part of the path 'c:\Inetpub\vhosts\nutrimeticscare.com\httpdocs\Config\Backup_20071262057\web_.config'.Access to the path 'c:\Inetpub\vhosts\nutrimeticscare.com\httpdocs\web.config' is denied.
