Since upgrading 4.6.2 to 4.7 none of the users passwords work anymore.  THe only way I have been able to log on at all is that my LiveID is allowing me to log on as an admin.  Once I am logged on I can not change my password since my current one is not recognized.  Help!

Sounds like you didn't copy the machine keys from your old web.config to your new web.config prior to running the upgrade.

I thought I did.  What can I do to fix this now?

If you followed a guide and made the recommended backup of your web.config file you can grab the old values out of it.

If you don't have a copy of an old web.config, you are going to need to go through a more complicated proces to set/reset passwords for ALL users.

I do have a backup of the old web.config.  All I need to do is put in the correct keys?  I wasnt sure if the "upgrade process"  botched anything in the DB if the wrong keys were in web.config during the upgrade.
