Hi Y'All.

I have a question. I've created a skin for my DNN store and replace the static image header with a full width swf file!

I did this by manually coding the object into the skin html template then uploaded the skin and it works. Wicked! Now my client wants the swf to play once apon your first visit to the site then to stay played and sit on the last frame of the timeline!

My question is there a way in asp.net to let the swf know it's been played once! I gather this might be via something like a cookie holding a value? If so does anyone have any knowledge or guides I can read regarding DNN cookies!

Cheers in advance, discuss!!!

You will have to pass a parameter to the swf, base on a cookie.

You can write this cookie with JS, later read it and pass the correct value to the flash film.

No need to use the framework in this case IMO (unless this has to play after somebody logged on)

Read more about writing JS and cookies here

I use cookieson www.searchdotnetnuke.com to store  the last option a visitor used (not with Flash) like that.
