With notification enabled, the forum module sends entire posts via email; Is there some way to limit how much text of a post is actually sent?  I'm trying to implement a forum in which members receive notifications of posts but not the posts themselves.  That way they are forced to log on to the websites to read and respond to them.  The subject of the post perhaps...the first couple of lines and a handy link to the post would suffice.

Thank you

You can do this by editing the template of the email, from the forum admin - templates - email you will see the default email template as this,  you can remove the [POSTBODY] so that only the subject is sent to the user:

You can view this post by clicking here.
 [GROUPNAME]
 [POSTSUBJECT]
 by [POSTAUTHOR] On [DATEPOSTED]
New post in [FORUMNAME]:
[POSTBODY]
You can view this post by clicking here.

If you no longer wish to receive notifications, please visit Your Profile and change your notifications options.

You can remove the [POSTBODY] from the template and this way only the url and the subject will be sent.
