Hi All,

I would like to start publishing a significant number of 'video presentations' on my web site....currently I have merely recorded video using Camtasia and then packaged them with the techsmith codec and allowed people to download them.......this means that the user needs to install the techsmith codec etc and then play the video on their PC.....it can't be downloaded as a self extracting .exe since almost no company allows .exe files to be downloaded.

I have Inventura media player and flash player....but they seem more like something to play one video in a container.

I think what I am looking for is the abiilty to create links and when the link is clicked a new window pops up and opens and the video is played in that window, as well as letting the person download the video so they can sahre with colleagues.

Does anyone have suggestions or demos of the best way to preset say 50+ presentation videos, anything from product demos to powerpoint videos, on a DNN site?

Anyone know good example sites to learn from?

Thanks

Peter

I once did the same thing for a school system.  I used Camtasia as well, and rendered the video as WMV files.  Then uploaded the videos to the DNN site, and simply used a Documents Module for the end-users.  It worked like a charm.  There was nothing fancy about it, except for the video editing.  Ugh.

I use camstudio (A free knockoff of Camtasia) and I simply convert to flash and use their html file that is created for online viewing and zip it up and use the documents module for download.

Hey Mitch, I have seen that one, and even used it very briefly once.  How would you compare it to Camtasia?  I have yet to completely dig into its features.
