I'm currently using version 3.3.8 of the Events module.

Even as a SuperUser, the Add Event item only becomes visible when I enter Edit mode for the page. My module is in Month view mode, not List mode.

Is there a setting I've missed somewhere?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

Do you have a container turned on?  I believe that if you don't have a container you won't see the Add Event.

You are correct Mike that you must be in Edit mode to access the Add Event and Edit Event options. When you are in View mode you only get the option to view the module. This is the same for all modules.

Thanks to James and Lorainne for posting so quickly.

Lorainne hit the nail on the head. When I gave another account Edit access to the module, the Add Event item magically appears. I was concerned that they'd also get the Edit Categories, Edit Locations, et. al. but these permissions obviously belong only to the portal admin. I already have a working Documents module and should have seen this one coming.

Thanks again.

Mike

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this?  I add a user to the list of permissions but they can only add an event when they have edit access to the page where the calendar is.  Surely this cannot be right?  I don't want users to see the control panel at the top, is there no way users can add an event without them seeing this?

Thanks

Sarah
