Hello,

I have installed dotnetNuke (install version) using _dnn Object Qualifier prefix. I read "DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf".
I understand that _dnn will be prefixed to all db objects. But I also see there are many tables that do not have dnn_ qualifier.

Could you please tell me, why this differences has been kept. And possibly let us know more about the prefixing dnn_ and its advantages.

Providing link to any document explaining this will be helpful.

Thank you in advance. :)

regards

ASPNET tables are part of the included Microsoft Membership Provider and do not get prefixed.

Hello Sebastian,

Thank you for your reply.  To be more clear and specific.

I have installed DotNetNuke (install version) on my machine. While installation it creates tables like  User and UserProfile....Now while installation if I assign a Object qualifier to "dnn_", then while installation it should create tables like dnn_User, dnn_User Profile...only.

But in our case when we assign this prefix "dnn_", then it creates tables like dnn_User, dnn_User Profile.... alongwith tables User and User Profile....

Now when I register all the records are getting saved in the tables like dnn_User, dnn_User Profile... There are no records in the tables User and User Profile...

Now please let me know what, when and where are we using these tables User and User Profile....????

Regards

Ranjit Vaity
