My forums used to show a listing of the top level forum groups when the page was first accessed. I changed the 'default forum' setting by selecting a lower level thread group to see what the effect was - and it started showing that lower level group by itself as I expected.

However I want to reset the 'default forum' to show the the listing of top-level groups again. But I can't seem to reset and update the default forum to show this state again - it just keeps going back to the lower-level forum listing as described above.

Does anyone know how to reset the 'default forum' value to see the listing of top-level groups again?

Thanks.

This question never got an answer that I can see. I am having the exact same problem. Is there a way to reset the default forum. Perhaps by directly changing the database via SQ.

I did not undstand the complete old question.  But the only way to change Forum permissions and settings is over the "Forum Manager".  A reset function is not availible.
