Afternoon All -

I have taken on the task of moving all of our users into DNN.  However, it will be a process of taking down one of their old sites and moving them into the new site.  What I would like to do, is create a SQL Script that will allow me to enter the user's name, and then the division they are in and have the script automatically generate the pages.

I've already written a VB.NET windows app that will allow me to automatically create the folder structure and then it calls a sql statement that adds that structure to the "Folder" table in the database.

My question is, Can anyone tell me which tables are updated when a page is created through the admin pages?  If anyone knows which tables are updated I will be happy to share my program once it is done.

Thanks

Steven, I would recommend using the DNN framework which provides the needed functions. Do not access the tables directly.

So then I should write a custom Windows app that ties to the API and use it that way?  I've got a total of 80 Teachers with 3 classes each and 4 pages per class.  So I'm looking at having to hand create almost 1000 pages.   I was hoping for an admin to type the user name and the division (US, MS, LS) in and then have the scripts build it automatically for me.

Thanks for the reply.

Not to open a can of worms but couldnt some of that be database driven does each teacher need pages or could there be some sort of module that handles the data - that way you are just managing the data and not 10000 pages
