Is it safe to remove Banners and Google AdSense??

I ask because I removed the Banners module once in a test DNN install and something happened to the site, I can't recall what it was or how I fixed it in the test site.

I can leave the files and I know I can reinstall either one if necessary.

I've already removed Market Place and Feed Explorer but I left the files.

I'm looking to improve load time and responsiveness by having as few modules as possible, I'll be running the site on shared hosting.

Thank you, Tom

you will only gain performance, if you remove files as well, but due to the size of these modules, you will not gain much - most code is part of the framework itself.

as there is no option to reinstall I suggest to leave them as they are; if you want to remove them from module selection dropdownlist, set them to premium in Host :: Module Definitions.

Hello, thanks for the advice, does your comment mean that I can't ever re-install the Feed Exploer?? I thought modules could be reinstalled. Thanks, Tom
