Michael,

I do not see a reason to blame volunteer open source software developers - if you have a need beyond the features of the module, there is no barrier to implement it. We are open to implement features, if there is a common need and they fit into our roadmap for the module. But we must be able to understand the use cases and needs of the users, therefore we request you to explain your application.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

Gentlemen,

It could not have been better timing for my website to snag on something. I have a good idea as to when Stefan tried to access it as I found it not working at about the same time. A quick recycle of the application pool fixed it, but by then my phones were already ringing. It works now, but I'm still trying to find what caused a previously stable component to hang. My best guess is an update from MS that somehow affected COM objects. But I digress.

My data is stored as bits to conserve space, but it could just as easily been stored as strings. It's not how it's stored that is the issue. It's that it is searchable.  If you could tell me specifically what you are looking for, I will provide as much detail as you need.

Ok... egg on my face... gave you the wrong address...

The website did go down yesterday, though, and that's what I thought you were referring to. Just goes to show what I know, now doesn't it?

Add a new column and use the data type "calculated column". Inside expression use the  name of your boolean column + "_udt_original". This transforms the boolean value into its string representation. This column is searchable.

This works well for columns that have a single word for the name. I have columns that have a space or other character in the name, and the search will not return anything. Any suggestions?
