Hi,

I have been discussing a bit with www.hackersafe.com . Seems they can provide for a thousands bugs a daily scan of about 30MB of traffic per day to see if there are any vulnerability leaks. This raised the question to me: is DNN hacker safe?  I did not see any hacker logo on the site, so I thought let's chat about it.

Maybe we can collect together funding to see if DNN is hacker safe and maybe start with them (or other party) some affiliate program so that DNN sites get reduction on the www.hackersafe.com software to do a daily scan?

Did anybody already have a hacker safe logo on its DNN site?

J.

Framework and modules packaged with it are passing a security review before being released. Every module you add might contain a vulnarability.

Oke, that is clear. But what about a kind of hackersafe test on the DNN site to test the basic? Maybe it is an idea to extend the market place / dotnetnuke review with a review on hacker safeness as well?

I came across this: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/News/SecurityBulletins/Policy/Securitybulletinno9/tabid/1135/Default.aspx It is about a vulnability. Would it have been detected by a hackersafe.com program or similar?

I run a payment website (www.physicianstouch.com) that used the hacker safe service.  Current the site is running on the 4.8.2 version of DNN and we have had very few problems with passing the scans.  Only one vulnerability and that was with the ErrorPage.apsx.  I believe it was a cross site scripting issue.
