When I have an Announcements Advanced Module Settings set to show on all pages, and I  t think so)?  Has anyone else noticed this behaviour? Is their another enhanced announcement module (free or otherwise) that might address this?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

which chages are you talking of? Page specific settings will affect instance on the single page only.

Sorry, it was too late at night, too much going on and I had copy/paste editing problems now that I look at my entry.  I should have said:

When I have an Announcements Advanced Module Settings set to show on all pages, and I update existing announcements to change their expiry and publish dates, that information is only changed on the current page and NOT all of the other pages announcements are shown on.

Is this a cacheing issue? I think for some reason I have the module cache setting set to 1200.  (I don't think this is the probelm, since it never seems to synch up)?  Has anyone else noticed this behaviour? Is their another enhanced announcement module (free or otherwise) that might address this?  It's too much to expect of my users to have them have to uncheck and check show on all pages whenever they update the expiry or publish dates.

Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks.

Accepted Answer

I assume, it is a caching issue. For 3rd party modules, please use the developers / vendors support options, thank you.

lesson learned. cacheing did have an even higher value than expected, apparently as a default.  set it to zero and it now works as expected.  I am sometimes leary of changing to many things all at once before I check the forums.  thanks.
