Skinning DNN has to be the hardest thing ever to do. I've been struggling with the frontpage of this site for days now. I guess next time I shouldn't propose such an elaborate frontpage. Anyway, the left nav is being very picky for some reason. Here is what I need.

I've sucessfully managed to create a closed menu to my liking.. Looks a bit like this:

I need to create an OPEN menu that looks like this.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

How would i go about it? I've been playing with some tokens for my [MENU] class, and forcefullmenulist shows all the subitems all the time. How do I get it to show the submenus only when the base item is currently active? Any direction in this would be helpful.

This can not be done with Solpartmenu.

You need custom menu like Components Art or Telrik. Not for the faint-hearted.

You have got to be kidding me.

edit: I guess it would be possible to add a non-dynamic nav in there. Instead of a menu add an HTML module and just have it do what I need.

Again, this totally sucks.

Salaro, how do you do it on the site you have? The functionality you have going on is kind of what I need.

I.e when you click on a root menu item, the rest of the items should show, only for the currently active item.

Sorry

I assume you want to mouse over the menu and open up a list rather likePanelBar by Telerik

This is what I menat you can not do with solpart. however, if you want to do it manually no problem.something like this
