I am using DNN ver 4.0.2 on Win 2003 with SQLServer 2005.

The system was running without any problems, a clean event log.

I tried to load a module and got the following 2 errors

I have not been able to clear the errors or remove the modules which are not loaded

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at System.Web.UI.UserControl.get_Request() at DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase.get_IsEditable() at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.Title.CanEditModule() at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.Title.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Unhandled error loading module.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: C:\Websites\Matrivue\Website\Admin\Files\FileManager.ascx.vb(709): error BC30560: 'ZipEntry' is ambiguous in the namespace 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip'. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException: C:\Websites\Matrivue\Website\Admin\Files\FileManager.ascx.vb(709): error BC30560: 'ZipEntry' is ambiguous in the namespace 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip'. at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CompileWebFile(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(VirtualPath virtualPath) at System.Web.UI.TemplateControl.LoadControl(String virtualPath) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any help to clear the errors would be appreciated! I am quite happy just to get back to where I was without the module.

Thanks

Duncanf

i came across the same problem when trying to access the "Filemanager" tab in Admin or Host menu

Everything worked fine before.

I updated to version 4.0.2 (from 3.1.0) a few days ago - maybe something went wrong?

Any suggestions on this?

Thanks
Jörg

I just had to face another BC30560 error:

...
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: D:\CMS\DotNetNuke_3.1.0\Admin\Portal\Template.ascx.vb(177): error BC30560: 'ZipOutputStream' is ambiguous in the namespace 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip'
...

This occured when accessing the host/portals tab ...

two dlls are conflicting
(most likely a 3rd party dll) 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll' with the core-dll 'SharpZipLib.dll'

see this post:

I already deleted ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll. Still got the error. Any idea?

Thanks
